Finding Appropriate Outdoor Play Equipment

Our two kids are six and eight right now. We live on an acre and a half on the outskirts of a large city in North Carolina and I have a big fenced in backyard. I want to invest in some tree houses, but right now I am struggling with the idea that the stuff that is appropriate for them at this moment in time is not going to be appropriate in a couple of years. So right now we are thinking about the tiny little plastic slide, which of course we shall have to get. In a couple of years it will be useless, but it should not be a problem to hand it off to some other family with a small child. However we want a swing set that will be able to last at least a couple of years. After that it is hard to say what we should get and not get.

My thinking is that we shall get a little covered sandbox for now, Jimmy loves to play with his little trucks in the one at the park. It will only be big enough for a little while though. At least it might be better to have one made out of lumber. I just need to figure out how to cover it up if I do that. I do not want it to get rained on, but that is not going to be the real concern. Instead Phyllis is afraid that birds and small animals would get into the sandbox and leave things behind. You definitely do not want your children to be playing around in something that birds and squirrels have been doing their business in, so it obviously has to have a cover on it. I am guessing that they get a little playhouse too, but I am not sure where to look for one.

My Brother the Wrestling and Football Fan

With the holidays quickly approaching, I knew that I had to start shopping for my family now. I hate putting things off until last minute and how hard it can be to get things for each and every person on my list. I wanted to try to get my brother taken care of as soon as possible because I really only know that he is a wrestling and football fan, so the things that I can find for him are limited.

I found some new nfl jerseys that I thought he would like. I was also able to find a wrestling blog that gave me a few more ideas of what I could get for him. I thought that if I could get him a jersey and maybe some kind of collector’s item from wrestling that he would be taken care of.
