In 2006 I participated in the Blogathon with my chosen charity being Sweet Relief.
I asked a number of my favorite musicians to donate an unreleased music track to the cause. These tracks are archived below as MP3s.
All tracks are donated by the artists and used with their permission.
To get a track, Right-Click (or Control-Click on Mac) and save it to your computer.
I am paying for the bandwidth myself and I therefore beg you to not hotlink to a track from your own site. Feel free to link to my front page, though.
Remember that these artists donated the tracks, and I am putting them here for you to download, to encourage you to donate to Sweet Relief. If you enjoy the music, PLEASE donate to this wonderful charity.

I first heard of the Handsome Family from the “always demure” (Rennie’s words) Sally Timms in 1996 or so. I immediately bought all their records and signed up for their mailing list. I met Rennie in person earlier this month and she was as lovely as I expected. They put on a terrific live show that night and played this song, the original version of which appears on their recent release, Last Days of Wonder, which was released by Carrot Top Records.
With any luck, I’ll have Rennie paint my dog, Satchel, in the not too distant future.

An 8-track demo for a song that we may (or may not) record in the future. This version is straight off the 8-track in it’s infant form; a song embryo.

This track, like everything RRRC does, was “created entirely in the digital realm from snips and shards of audio–looped and processed, shaped and soldered, massaged and mangled–until it feels like a field recording from somewhere that doesn’t appear on any map.”
Radio Room Recording Co. is unsigned.
